Rwanda, a small country in Africa, has become one of the newest countries to be entered by The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG).
Pastor Ezekiel Motsoeneng arrived in Kigali this past September to start the process of reaching legality for the church. Diligently, the Pastor works to register the church according to the laws of the country.Yet all measures necessary will be taken in order to begin the work of the UCKG, in accordance to the Church's goal of reaching the world. And especially to reach places where people are struggling to get by.
Pastor Ezekiel states. "There are downcast faces everywhere because there are no jobs. And many families have to support children of parents that were killed in the genocide." In 1994, 800,000 people were brutally murdered in a government induced extermination. But even today, results of the tragic events are felt and remembered in all forms.
The UCKG's arrival comes in answer to the prayers and requests of members with family in Rwanda, and members who live there now. Pastor Ezekiel states, "We ask all the members of the church worldwide to pray for the successful establishment of the church in this very needy country."
