From the 2009 Class

On Friday, July 9th, as The Universal Church celebrated its 33rd anniversary, the six remaining students of the 2009 Pastoral Ministry Class graduated. After successfully completing the class, during the night vigil the young men were anointed and appointed as auxiliary pastors.
The six young men who began the course in September last year were in the practical stage in different states around the country. Graduates are now Auxiliary Pastors who have decided to sacrifice their whole life on the altar in service to God and never look back.
Gustavo Moreno, one of the graduates in San Antonio, TX was very happy on his completion of the course. "I'm full of joy, not for the title but because it was God's confirmation that He wants to use me even more. I believe He saw in me the willingness to serve. I came here knowing nothing and God has given me what I need and so much more to do His work."
The new auxiliary pastors will take on a supportive role next to a senior pastor. As their training continues, their goal is to continue learning, devoting their lives to God, and eventually become ordained pastors.
The Pastoral Ministry Class is held in Houston, Texas and is open to those who feel they have a calling for the ministry. Young men and women between the ages of 16-24 are invited to pray about it and speak to their pastor for guidance and more information. A new class begins on July 19th and the next one is scheduled to start in December 2010.
