House Full of Fights and Verbal Abuse

  • His dad was a drug addict and drug dealer
  • House always full of fights and verbal abuse
  • Grew into a very timid and insecure person
  • Started attending The Universal Church with his mom
  • His family is now restored and all insecurities are gone

As he was growing up, Ricardo found himself full of sadness and anger. He had no peace in his family. His dad, who aside from being a drunk was also a drug addict and a drug dealer, brought constant fights to his home. Ricardo remembers how his house was always full of fights and verbal abuse.

In seeing his dad have these anger outbursts, he made up his mind to never be like him, which proved harder than he thought. With sadness and anger building up inside of him, Ricardo soon began having anger outbursts himself, which brought even more problems to his family. Aside from all the problems he faced at home, school also proved to be a big challenge for him. The verbal abuse and fighting he was exposed to at home made him a very timid and insecure person who was always worrying about his family problems. Consequently, Ricardo began falling behind in school until he got to the point of being labeled as the "slow kid".

By that time, Ricardo's mom had already been coming to the church so she prayed for him. Soon, he began showing a great improvement and went from being the "slow kid" he was known as to being the best student in the school. Soon after, not only was Ricardo succeeding in school, but he also began to see a difference in his family. The fights and the verbal abuse became nothing but past memories, his dad left behind all drugs and drinking, and now, there is finally peace in Ricardo's home. He no longer has to deal with insecurities and is no longer a timid person. Now, Ricardo is proud to admit that God completely changed his household into the one he never thought he could have!

Welcome to Universal.org
the official website of The Universal Church for North America.

We’re not quite finished yet, as you can see, but we thought we would no longer wait until we had it "perfect" before launch. After all, it is you who can help us make the site better as it evolves. Even though the Spanish and Portuguese versions of our site are now live, it's only as a beta version and we would welcome the help of translators to and from each of the three languages of the site. If you feel you can help, ¡escribanos!

It would be great if you could test out all the sections, but in particular the Bookstore, Forum, and Church Locator.

Please inform us of bugs, glitches, or any other problem you may find. We would also welcome your comments and suggestions — what you feel we got right/wrong, what we missed, and what you would like to see here.

It will be a pleasure to hear from you, no matter how big or small your contribution.

God bless you!
