The generator of false beliefs
Anger is the root of false beliefs. When a person is controlled by an anger, with time it becomes hatred. And this hatred develops beliefs to support and justify itself.
If I get angry with so-and-so and let myself be consumed by it, I will end up hating so-and-so. And my hatred will begin to look for reasons to justify itself. “Look at the way so-and-so talks. That angelic face can’t deceive me… He is certainly an evil person…”
But evil is actually within those who are consumed by hatred. This feeling places them in a parallel world, where they are the victims, the persecuted good guys, and so-and-so is the bad guy. How anger can be creative and destructive at the same time!
“Be angry but do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your anger.” – Ephesians 4:26
