Spiritual Authority
The disciples had no spiritual preparation, nor were they anointed with the Holy Spirit to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers and cast out demons, but the order had been given.
The success of their mission depended only on obedience to Jesus’ command. They believed and therefore obeyed. Acts of obedience proved their faith and the miracles happened. So, we can conclude that faith is a matter of obeying the Word.
Spiritual people are aware that the ministry of faith does not work according to religious doctrines. The Work of God does not depend on theological knowledge to develop, but on obedience to the Divine Word.
This is the basic condition for God’s power to be manifest. When we put God’s command into practice, the Spirit of God brings into existence the things that do not exist.
The benefits of faith have nothing to do with merit, how long a person has been in church, baptism with the Holy Spirit, baptism in water, etc. Instead, it has to do with obedience. Abraham was considered a pure and righteous man because of his courage to obey God.
