2 DIMENSIONS OF LIFE YOU NEED TO KNOW

Don't try to solve physically what is only solved spiritually. Use the right strategy!

We live in several dimensions at the same time. We live in the physical dimension (which is what we see, feel and touch) and also in the spiritual dimension. There are other dimensions, but I won’t extend myself here.

Let’s deal with these two dimensions: physical and spiritual. They happen in parallel; they coexist. And the human being is the greatest proof of this because we are matter and spirit.

Why is it important to understand this?

Because there are problems that originate in one dimension, but the person tries to solve them in the other dimension.

I’ll give you a biblical example. The Word of God speaks of a father who went to seek the help of the disciples of the Lord Jesus because his son was disturbed.

“Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not” (Mark 9:17,18).

Then, the Lord Jesus called the boy, who fell to the ground.

“So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:21-23).

Here, the Lord Jesus showed the superiority of the dimension of faith. Faith is transcendent. In other words, it transcends the spiritual and acts in the material. Faith can do all things. It is a spiritual weapon. It exists in the spiritual dimension, but it also has supremacy in the material.

For example, those who exercise their faith are more successful in health. Even doctors know the importance of the patient believing in the cure so that the treatment works.

“Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24).

Something is conflicting with what he says. But it’s because he confused belief with desire. He wanted the boy to be freed, but he had been with that boy for so long (since he was a child) that he was already losing hope. So, there was doubt. He mixed the desire to see his son well with the doubt about his possible recovery.

Many people are like this. They want to believe, but they have been suffering for so long that they question. However, that boy’s father made an intelligent request: “Help me in my unbelief”. And the Lord Jesus considered the sincerity of that father.

“When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it: “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose” (Mark 9:25-27).

So, the boy had a physical problem. In addition to the convulsions, aggression, and fainting, the boy was mute and deaf. By current standards, the boy would be considered crazy. They  would give strong medicine to the person, hospitalise them, and they would have to stay there. But that young man’s problem was spiritual. The young man returned to normal by expelling the evil spirit from his life. We see, here, how the two dimensions intersect (the physical and the spiritual).

You need to have a spiritual vision of life so that you do not waste your efforts only in the physical dimension. Maybe you live on strong medication or consider yourself unlucky in love for not working out with someone. So, you must understand that your problem can originate in the spiritual realm; thus, all your efforts in the physical realm will fail, and the problem will continue.
