For the Message of the Cross – faith linked with sacrifice – is foolishness to those who are perishing. 1 Corinthians 1.18

Who, in this lost world, is willing to sacrifice their life for an invisible One? Or for a new life, which comes after their old life is sacrificed?

Many have sacrificed an inheritance, money, cars, and jewelry in exchange for greater blessings. But who wants to sacrifice parents, children, family and, above all, their own life in exchange for a Christian life, far from sin?
Few. Very few.

The message of faith requires a lot more sacrifice than some small exchange on the altar.

Jesus said clearly:

He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 10.37-39

It’s an all for all. This is why the message of the cross is foolishness.
It was God’s All, His Son, in exchange for our all.

What is our all? Happy life? Prosperity? Health?
No! A thousand times, no!

Man’s all has been a life opposite to the things of God. Failed love life, broken families, failed careers; this is, constant agony in the body, soul and spirit. Sometimes, as if this were not enough, even their health is compromised and they have one foot in the grave.

That’s right! What is the all we are going to exchange for the All of God?

Salvation is for those who believe in practice, not in theory.

Practical Christian belief requires sacrifice, so it is foolishness to those who are lost.
