Emotional people are weak, uncertain in their decisions and in their faith, and slaves to the opinions of others.
Though they believe in God, they are unhappy.

We do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 1 Corinthians 4:18

When a person is born of the Spirit he is spirit. Their faith is rational. They pay no attention to visions, feelings or emotions. They believe before they see, and never have to see to believe.

Is this crazy? For the secular world, absolutely. But not for people of faith, the Kingdom of the Spirit of God.
Unless people are born again, they cannot see the Kingdom of the Spirit of God. John 3:3
Unless people are born of water and the Spirit, they cannot enter the kingdom of the Spirit of God. John 3:5

Only those who are born of God are able to overcome the battle for salvation, because they use supernatural faith.
But those who are born of emotion, of the flesh, people who are natural (as opposed to supernatural), lack the Holy Spirit and as a result cannot discern the supernatural.
Because of this, they do not have the courage to make a serious commitment with God, deny their own will, or take up the cross and follow Him.
They are cowards. They run at the faintest sound of battle.
They don’t have the courage to say no to sin or to confront the injustices of the devil.
Their emotional faith makes them timid around their relatives, friends and coworker.
But this doesn’t happen with people who are born of God. Their faith is solid, firm, rooted in the Word of God. It couldn’t be less concerned about the opinions of others…
If everyone abandons them because of their faith, they grow even stronger.
They find strength in their weaknesses and take possession of the promises.
