Watch and pray, lest you enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Mark 14.38

Many who have fallen into temptation allege: the flesh is weak… As if this justifies their sin.

When the Lord speaks in regards to this, His objective is to encourage permanent attention not to fall into temptation. This is, there should not be any distractions from the faith, so the person does not leave its environment. Because when someone leaves the environment of faith, he soon enters the environment of doubt and, consequently, of temptation. Therefore, we must watch and pray not to enter an atmosphere of temptation.

The choice of friendships makes a lot of difference in this aspect. Many fall into temptation and try to justify it by blaming others. This is what Adam did before God, when he blamed Eve for his fall (Genesis 3.12).

No one should justify their sin by pointing their figure at another person, not even the devil, because this will not save him from eternal death.

But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. James 1.14

Therefore, each person is responsible for his or her own mistakes before the Most High. On Judgment Day, each person will be judged individually according to his own works.

The argument of being weak does not justify sin because God does not allow temptation beyond what you are able to resist (1 Corinthians 10.13).

Sin produces doubt.

Doubts diminish the faith.

And without faith, it is impossible to please God.

This is why sin kills.

This doesn’t always happen at once! Most of the time, it happens little by little…
