However, those who think that all prayers are answered by God, are mistaken. Prayers that are made with an evil intentions and come from a heart full of unrighteousness and iniquity, are not answered by Him.

The conditions for the Lord to answer our requests are to be true in faith and to do what pleases Him. David was sure that he would be answered because, though he was aware that he was not perfect, he sought to meet these criteria.
