A new heart
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Ezekiel 36.26-27
Why does God say He will give us a new heart?
It is very simple to understand. The nature of man’s heart is deceitful, or rather, desperately wicked. It is desperate for corruption.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? Jeremiah 17.9
A person may even be generous and good, but this does not guarantee him from falling victim to a corrupt heart. Maybe this is why many do not agree with this message. It is difficult to understand that a person with these qualities can also have a corrupt heart.
Think about it: if the heart was perfect, if there were no problems in it, there would be no need for God to say, ‘I will give you a new heart’.
Of course this does not prevent a person with a corrupt heart from seeing and receiving a miracle or blessing.
For example, in the case of the blind man from Jericho, was his heart corrupt or not? And was the hemorrhaging woman’s heart corrupt or not? Was the heart of the ten lepers corrupt or not? However, it didn’t stop them from being healed!
And was the heart of the widow who gave two coins corrupt or not? But it didn’t stop her from prospering!
Do you think the centurion, who asked in favor of his servant, had a corrupt heart? Nonetheless, it didn’t stop his servant from being healed.
They received a miracle because they manifested their faith. To receive a miracle you don’t need to have a new heart, you just need to express your faith.
In many cases, you may even witness the miracle happening, but you will remain the same person, subject to the voices of that heart and, surely, you will continue to suffer.
However, to enter the Kingdom of God first you have to be born again, because there cannot be corrupt people in the Kingdom of God. The one who was corrupt and was in the Kingdom of Heaven was expelled, the devil. And it wasn’t only the devil, God cast out all the corrupt from Heaven!
It is impossible for God to remain in communion with someone that is corrupt. God accepts the corrupt, but only those who want to turn away from corruption, surrender their deceitful heart and die to that heart.
Because no one can live without a heart, God will give him or her a new one. This heart transplant is not done by human hands, but by the Spirit of the Almighty, the Eternal God.
The intention is not to judge anyone; the intention is to help, and you can only help someone with the truth.
The day you receive a new heart, with it comes a new Spirit and, of course, a new life.
