Achan’s sin

Imagem de capa - Achan’s sin

“And Achan answered Joshua and said, Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and this is what I have done: When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the silver under it.So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent; and there it was, hidden in his tent, with the silver under it.” (Joshua 7:20-22)

We can see Achan’s story being repeated in the lives of many people today.

Achan kept the items he had taken in his tent (heart), under the carpet.

While the Israelites obeyed the Voice of God, they overcame Jericho and were victorious.

However, when they fought against Ai (a much smaller city with fewer soldiers), they were defeated!

One of the reasons why people do not receive the Holy Spirit is because they keep grudges and hatred, amongst other things, in their hearts (tent).

This is what obstructs their blessings and causes loss and suffering.

God bless you all!
