Castrated eunuch
The third kind of eunuch mentioned by the Lord Jesus has to do with those who castrate themselves for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 19.12).
In those times, castration meant total deprivation of the reproductive organs, without anesthesia, and involving three kinds of sacrifice:
First: unbearable pain;
Second: deprivation of sexual pleasure;
Third: the right to procreate.
This sequence of sacrifices was justified only because the prize was the Kingdom of Heaven. In other words, the faithful who submitted to his martyrdom prioritized the Salvation of his soul above all that life in this world could give him.
Also, during another similar occasion, the Lord said that it is better to enter the Kingdom of Heaven lame, crippled or with one eye than to be cast into hell with perfect health (Matthew 18.8-9).
Only those whose names are written in the Book of Life value the Kingdom of Heaven, truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and practice His Word. They have received the revelation of the Spirit of God and would never jeopardize their Salvation for anything in this world. Except when they liberally abandon the priority of their soul for a passion of the flesh.
The voluntary sacrifice of spiritual castration is the clearest materialization of an authentic faith.
