Wealth that is cursed or dishonestly obtained generates a cursed inheritance, which results in cursed heirs. And when a curse is inherited, it affects finances, health and, above all, love life, marriage, family, everything. There is no amount of money, gold, riches, nothing that can guarantee deliverance from a curse, because it is an evil spirit with authority over those who live in sin. You can only escape from him by making a pact with God and obeying His Word.

When properties, material wealth, or anything else associated with evil is acquired, the spirits of curse will rule the lives of those involved with them. Like the prophecy says:

Woe to him (cursed) who dishonestly (through theft, corruption, cheating, and lies) makes wealth for his house (for him and his family) to place his nest on high (to ensure success), to escape from the reach of disaster! Habakkuk 2.9 HCSB

It’s good to remember the rich man who, after becoming very prosperous, said to himself:

And I will say to my soul, ‘Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.”

Immediately, the Lord God rebuked him, saying:

“Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?” Luke 12.19-20

The truth is, no matter how great someone’s wealth, when it is dishonestly or sinfully acquired, it will be cursed. The curse will perpetuate in the life of this person’s family and for all its generations. It is the effect of sin created by Adam and Eve, which has since then promoted death for all generations.

The spirit of curse is the spirit of sin, unrighteousness, rebellion to the Word of God, but the Spirit of Blessing is the Spirit of Righteousness, Submission and obedience to Scripture, which guarantees blessings and protection against all evil.

…so a curse without cause shall not alight. Proverbs 26.2
