Day 8 of the 40 Day Fast of Jesus
Thank God for the Jews!
First, because Jesus said that Salvation is of the Jews. (John 4.22)
Second, because we can learn a lot from their history from the time of Abraham to the time of Jesus.
We learned how to use our faith with intelligence;
We learned to associate faith with imagination;
We learned the secret of faith, which is sacrifice;
We learned that the benefits of faith come with difficulties. Overall, Abraham taught us how to have a relationship with God.
Third, because if they had not rejected Jesus, I have no idea what would have become of me and millions of others throughout this world?
He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. John 1.11-12
Fourth, the ultimate favor the Jews did for us was to sacrifice Jesus. If they had not sacrificed Him, who would?
Jesus came to earth and lived a perfect life, pure and without sin, so that one day He could be our Passover Lamb. I Corinthians 5.7
Who would have the courage to sacrifice Someone so pure, so holy, so noble, so fair, so merciful, so Great?
Who would have the courage to execute the prophecies regarding the Lord Jesus?
Thank God for the Jews who sacrificed Him!
Without realizing it, the Jews did the will of God the Father and offered Jesus as a sin Offering, the scapegoat. They implemented the Law so our sins could be forgiven.
And he shall lay his hand on the head of the goat, and kill it at the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD. It is a sin offering. Leviticus 4.24
Thank God! Thank God! Thank God!
To implement the Plan of Salvation, Jesus had to come into the world to do the “dirty work”, and the Jews helped Him do this work.
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3.13-14
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, everyone, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53.6
Thank God for the Jews!
Thank God for Israel!
God loves the Jews today as much as He did in the past.
And those who have the Spirit of God love them
