There is no way to please God without the exercise of faith in His Word. This means practicing or obeying His Word!

The Lord Jesus clearly says:

He who has My commandments and keeps them (practices), it is he who loves Me… John 14.21

Assiduously attending church, not harming others or even living a religious life based on traditions does not necessarily mean practicing the Word. To practice involves action, which almost always goes against fashion tendencies and the world.

For example, for the world, it is normal to have sex whenever you want to. However, for those who love the Lord Jesus, sex is only for after marriage. It does not matter if you are a man or woman.

In other words: everything that is fashionable, but contrary to the discipline of God, displeases Him.

Some may say, “But this is very difficult…”

This may be true! But the prophecy states:

Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7.14
