Does happiness exist?
Have you ever seen someone chasing the wind? Imagine a swarm of frenzied cockroaches! That’s right. This is the path humanity is on.
Everyone is in a frantic search, placing all their strength in the conquest of happiness.
The strong trample over the weak to take possession first.
The majority of the poor allow themselves to be carried away by the winds of “luck,” saying: “Who knows, maybe one day my life will change?” And so, their lives continue from hope to hope.
The sick seek happiness in physical healing. For them, health is the most important thing.
Others believe that happiness lies in professional achievements. For them, money is the soul of happiness.
And for the lonely or frustrated in love, happiness lies in finding their other half. And from there, they surrender to love affairs as though they were a lottery game. Either way, they try their luck in love to find happiness.
However, everyone, without exception, has lost in their quest. The more they move around in search, the more they sink into the quicksand of this world. To the point of questioning the existence of happiness, like atheists do in regards to the existence of God.
If happiness exists, where and how do you achieve it?
Who can answer this question? This is what unhappy people want to know…
To achieve happiness, one must first take possession of life. The dead have no right to happiness. As long as a person is spiritually dead in his crimes and sins, how can he achieve happiness? This is impossible.
First, he needs to be resurrected. And for this to happen, he has to seek the Author of life.
The Lord Jesus said:
I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. John 11.25
Believe in the sense of surrendering body, soul and spirit.
After this unconditional surrender, he will receive life. And then, he will have the right to such dreamed happiness.
Those who are humble enough to submit and fear Him, will inherit riches, and honor, and life. Proverbs 22.4
This is: he will be happy on Earth.
The Fast of Daniel is a great opportunity for those who are, literally, unhappy. It starts this Sunday – 05/19/19 – for those who want to isolate themselves from any and all secular information on TV, radio, internet, magazines, newspapers, sports, entertainment, this is, a total audiovisual fast.
There will be a cleansing in our heart and mind from all the useless baggage this world offers, keeping only the information of the Word of God – the Holy Bible.
Then, during the course of this fast, the Spirit of God will be poured out according to His promise in Joel 2.13-19.
God, in the Person of the Holy Spirit, opens the understanding of all who believe.
