Faith against gossip
Whenever people gather to talk, there will always be rumor, gossip, criticism, etc. Whether they are adults, youth or even children, their tongue will always be busy — more often than not, spreading gossip and rumor.
In the church, it is not different, even among those who seem to be spiritual. They pray, pray, pray, and later on criticize others. They use their tongue to say both good and bad things. They try to serve God with their tongue, but they serve the devil.
How to tame the tongue to focus on what is good?
How can you defend yourself from the tongue of gossip?
There is only one way: faith. No soul, no heart, no feelings…
When you hear voices that are contrary to the Word of God, which bring doubt, discomfort, inner conflicts, fear, worries and stress, you must reject them immediately.
Those who live by rational faith do not look at the outward appearance; they do not focus on what is visible or accept anything that the world has to offer. Rather, they set THEIR MIND ON THE PROMISES OF GOD.
They are not interested in nonsense, nitpicking or other people’s opinions. They are not worried about their image, what people will say, etc.
Be wise, dear reader. Safeguard your faith with the power of the Word of God, and put feelings aside.
Do not listen to comments that will only put you down.
Be smart and follow this piece of advice:
“We do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4.18
