Man’s greatest addiction
Is it drugs, alcohol, gambling, pornography, binge eating, Internet, lying? No!
Man’s greatest addiction is doing his own will!
Man is addicted to doing his will. The root of this addiction is not in a substance or product but in his deceitful heart (Jeremiah 17.9).
This addiction has to be overcome 24 hours a day, this is why the apostle Paul said: I DIE DAILY! (1 Corinthians 15.31), this is, I overcome this addiction day after day. We have to keep our nature dead every day by deciding to DO the will of God.
This addiction manifests itself through the choices, decisions, customs, relationships and feelings that are prioritized, therefore placing the will of God in second place.
The Our Father prayer teaches us the way to heaven and in it is the sacrifice of man’s greatest addiction to DECIDE TO DO the will of God.
This is why many have not yet received the Holy Spirit. They have not overcome this addiction: THEIR OWN WILL!
