Number of saved
When asked if few would be saved, Jesus replied:
Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. Luke 13.24
The numbers do not lie.
Of the two sons of Adam and Eve, only one was saved: Abel;
Of the three sons of Noah, only Shem was separated;
Of Abraham’s servants, only 318 were born in his own house;
Of the children of Abraham, only Isaac was separated to God;
Of the two sons of Isaac, only Jacob was separated;
Of the thirteen sons of Jacob, only Judah was chosen for the genealogy of Jesus;
During the slaughter in Egypt, only Moses escaped;
Of the 32,000 men in Israel, only 300 (less than 1%) were chosen to save their people;
In the time of the prophet Elijah, God kept the 7,000 men out of all Israel who did not bow before Baal;
Of the ten healed lepers, only one came back to give thanks;
Of the 12 apostles, one went astray;
Of the three servants, one was disobedient and condemned to the Lake of Fire and Brimstone;
Of the 10 virgins, only 5 kept their salvation and entered into the joy of the Lord;
The parable of the sower records that in every 100 who hear the Word of God, only 25 are saved.
The numbers confirm that many will seek to enter but will not be able to.
Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. Luke 13.24
And you, my dear, are you one of the few or the many?
