In the biblical calendar, the feast of Pentecost was celebrated fifty days after Passover (Leviticus 23.15-16). In the Old Testament, this celebration was called the Feast of Firstfruits, Feast of Ingathering or Feast of Weeks (Exodus 34.22), when everyone brought the firstfruits of the harvest to the House of the Lord (Exodus 23.19).

During forty-nine days or seven weeks, they reaped the harvest and during the last week, they began to celebrate (Deuteronomy 16.9-15). The last day of the feast was called Pentecost. All the people were to gather in the House of the Lord and bring their firstfruits before Him(Numbers 28.26).

God chose this important day to outpour the Holy Spirit upon the Church (Acts 2.1), making this a great feast of the harvest of lives for the Kingdom of God.

During Passover, the Lamb of God offered Himself for humanity (John 1.29), and during Pentecost, the power of the Holy Spirit founded the Church, reaping the fruit of the Lord Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.

This Sunday, in each Universal Church, be present during Pentecost, which will bring the revival and renewal of the Holy Spirit to all who surrender themselves as living offerings!
