Permanent action of the Holy Spirit
I was meditating on the action of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the men of the past. In the Old Testament, for example, the prophets and patriarchs did not have the Holy Spirit permanently with them to direct them, they depended on a dream, a revelation or a Voice, like in the case of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, etc.
The Spirit of God manifested by inspiring His servants, giving them direction and that was it. Then the servant waited for a new revelation.
Not everyone had a vision, a revelation, or heard the Voice of God. Nowadays, we see the permanent action of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those who desire to follow the Lord Jesus. He said:
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever… John 14.16
Today, we don’t need to wait for a dream, a revelation, or hear a Voice for Him to guide us. We no longer need a night’s sleep for God to reveal what He wants. We don’t need a vision, because God found a way to guide us by sending us the Holy Spirit.
Those who have Him, have the revelation of His will, the vision of Salvation and can hear the Voice of God Himself in their spirit, testifying that he belongs to Him.
Those who do not have the Holy Spirit are constantly lost, even though they are in a church, their choices, actions, decisions and defeats are the result of choices made by someone who cannot hear the Voice of God, who lives without direction, like the blind.
Those who have the Holy Spirit can see beyond, though this does not mean that God makes decisions for us, because, although we have Him, He respects our will, but He guides us to truth so only those who want will fall.
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth… John 16.13
