Salvation of the Soul
Even though a person can achieve wonderful and extraordinary healings through faith, to the point of confusing medical science, still, faith has an even greater purpose;
Even though a person can obtain great wealth through faith, to the point where a beggar becomes richer than his king, still, this is not the greatest purpose of faith;
Even though faith gives access to the fulfillment of the most impossible dreams in the world, this still cannot be considered as great as its greater goal, the reason why it was created…
As the Author and Finisher of the Faith, the Lord Jesus Christ did not create it as a tool to conquer the corruptible glory of this world. Instead, the most extraordinary objective of Faith is to achieve the greatest and most difficult of miracles: we could call it the Miracle of miracles: the salvation of the soul.
It was not easy for the Lord Jesus Christ – the Son of the Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, to submit to all the scorn, humiliation, shame and pain to make possible the salvation of the souls of those who truly believe in Him.
But, just as He descended from the Throne of Glory and submitted to the shame of the Cross, those who want the salvation of their soul must participate in the sacrifice of their own lives in this world to obtain their salvation.
The following text shows the greatness of Faith as the Power of God in us for our salvation. For this reason, it is tested like when gold is put through fire, so that when approved, it is found to praise, and honor, and glory at the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
…who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. 1Peter 1.5-9
