Sanctification produces souls

Imagem de capa - Sanctification produces souls

And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. John 17:19

One of the feelings instantly lost once you receive the Holy Spirit is selfishness. This happens because, when we are baptized with the personality of God (Holy Spirit), we begin to have the same characteristics as Him, and of all the negative things that God does not possess in His nature is selfishness.

On several occasions, we witness the reaction of people who confess being baptized with the Holy Spirit say they have an almost uncontrollable desire to go out and talk to everyone about how wonderful God is. This is, without a doubt, the normal behavior of someone who received the Divine nature within themselves, and soon begins a journey of total surrender, faith, and much sacrifice.

What is often hidden from the knowledge of those recently sealed with the Spirit of God is the immense responsibility that this event represents, not only for them but also for humanity. Each person receives the fullness of God within themselves when they are baptized, and they also receive a multitude of invisible spectators who will observe what they will be done from that moment on. Angels, demons, heaven and hell will be attentive to the new representative of God on Earth.

The responsibility of having received such trust from the Lord Jesus Christ is unsettling, and for this reason a true battle begins. But this battle is quite different; it is not tiresome nor brings fear. This battle sanctifies us, it further separates us from the natural and selfish life we had before being baptized. The daily struggle to keep ourselves holy is no longer only for ourselves, this is, to keep our own Salvation, at all costs!

The Holy Spirit teaches us that we must live in sanctification for ourselves, but also for the afflicted, for all the people entrusted to us by the Father. And, only through this sanctification can we sanctify others. This is the only way for there to be a lasting effect we so desire on everything we do to save lives.

If you are baptized with the Holy Spirit, you understand that your life will never be the same again, and now you have a responsibility with other lives. You understand that in order to sanctify others, you need to do this yourself daily. Sanctification clears our earthly desires every day. Sanctification multiplies our strength and gives us the drive to bring strength to others.

Those who have God in them will multiply the little that they have to be able to give others as well!
