Savior yes, Lord no…
Jesus has been like a kind lifeguard on a sunny Sunday at the beach. But, after the shock of almost drowning, they return to their routine of taking risks again. This has been the situation of most Christians. They want Him as a their servant, and not as their Lord. They want Him to be an object to do their will, but they do not want to serve His will.
What kind of person has Jesus been for you, my friend? A Savior or Lord?
Unfortunately, He has been rejected as Lord in an unjustly and cruel way. They do not want to give up their will, even if that means having to continue living their old and ruined life. They want to be cleansed, but they refuse to leave the mud full of pigs. And yet they have the face to recite His promises, as if that would solve anything.
Not even their troubles have awakened them from the sleep of eternal death!
Because of this, they carry within themselves the hypocrisy and spirit of the old prophets.
Is it possible for them to continue living in sin and with their transgressions and be born of the Holy Spirit? No, it is not. What difference is there between them and the other religious people?
Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?
Matthew 23.33
To those who are true servants, my suggestion is: keep your conscience pure so that your faith is not hypocritical and so you will not be considered a brood of vipers.
