Synagogue of Satan

Imagem de capa - Synagogue of Satan

There is a reason why the Lord mentioned the synagogue of Satan in between the Church of Smyrna and Philadelphia. They were the only impeccable churches. The first was notable because of its works, tribulations and financial difficulties; the secret of the spiritual richness of the second was their obedience to the Word of the Lord Jesus and the preservation of faith in His name among deadly persecutions.

Where there is wheat, there will surely be tares. This is what happened in the Church of Smyrna and Philadelphia. The synagogue was born among them, not the true children of Israel, but of Satan. This kind of congregation often arises among the true congregation of saints. Their goal: trick the immature in faith.

They are ill-intentioned people who surge out of nowhere, disguised as “spiritual” – to show something they are not. Hypocrites, who are already prophetically convicted, as in Matthew 23, that want to block the way of those who want Salvation. Despite having a “spiritual” appearance, citing biblical passages to impress others, they are only disguised.

Their goal is to sow discord and rebellion to try and implode the exemplary congregation. This is what happened to those two impeccable churches. Note that the other corrupted churches didn’t even need the synagogue of Satan because they were already contaminated with other sins.

Advice not to be part of the synagogue of Satan: After the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the most important step in life by faith is marriage. Invest in this. Ask God to point you to the right person. If you are married, fight with God in favor of this union until you exhaust your strength. The important thing is to form the cross: marriage with the Holy Spirit and marriage with someone of God.

I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Revelation 2.9

Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie – indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Revelation 3.9
