The choice of the Spirit of God

God never needed many people to accomplish His plans, just One, but One who is willing to listen to the voice of God and do His will.

Take a look at this:

But He needed to go through Samaria. John 4.4

There was a need to save this city, but, because the Jews didn’t want anything to do with the Samaritans, since there was a rivalry between them, how else was Jesus going to reach those people? They would have rejected Him immediately for the simple fact that He was Jewish?

However, God had already drawn up a plan:

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. John 4.7

A woman, but she did not seem to be the most suitable person, because she had a bad reputation around town for having several husbands. However, God did not see her with those eyes. He was about to reveal Himself to her.

Here was the opportunity to save the people who lived in that city. After a long talk, the woman found out the Savior was before her and that He was there to save her.  Through her, many others would be saved.

Take a look at this woman’s boldness:

The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” Then they went out of the city and came to Him. John 4.28-30

And many more believed because of His own word. Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world. John 4.41-42

Look at what one person can do when he allows himself to be used by God!

Perhaps you are just one person, and you think you’re unable to accomplish something, or that you are not worthy…. Those around you say that you don’t have the conditions to amount to anything, no one believes in you.

But, if God sees a burning desire to win souls in you, He is going to do His work through you. All you have to do is make yourself available!

53 years ago God was looking for someone and, among many, He found Bishop Macedo. In his innermost being grew the desire to win souls, but he was never given the opportunity and was pushed to the side by many because they thought he didn’t have the conditions. But the time had come for God to act in his life, because there was a desire to win souls, to rescue those who were lost, and today we are millions.

May we also be this One among many and make a difference!

Make yourself available, God is with you and the Holy Spirit will give you the necessary conditions to do what He wants!

This week, make some time to talk about Jesus to at least ONE person, because he will talk about Him to someone else tomorrow and so on, and the Kingdom of God will continue to grows.
