The chosen of the world
Many of those reading this message, may be members of the Church for many years, but have not yet realized the great privilege of being chosen by the Lord Jesus. Have you stopped to think about this? Jesus said:
If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. John 15.18
Why does the world hate Jesus? It’s simple:
…the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. 1 John 5.19
The devil has dominated the human mind since Adam disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden. He received the authority that was given to man and established his kingdom here on earth, influencing the mind of all who practice sin in the world. His hatred comes from being cast out of heaven.
…Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4.4
We were chosen by the Lord Jesus. Assistant, do you know what this means? Our soul was once lost in the deep extremities of darkness and He looked for us in the darkness of this world and found us. Like a mineworker finds gold in the depths of the earth, you are the gold that the Lord Jesus found.
If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. John 15.19
The chosen are hated because the world (devil) envies them. Everything that the devil wants is to have an opportunity to dwell with the Most High in Glory, but this privilege was given only to those who hear and practice the Word of God.
He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God. John 8.47
The chosen are like gold, they are more precious than the fine gold of Ophir. They are nothing more or nothing less than children of God, owners of all the wealth that exists, after all:
All things that the Father has are Mine… John 16.15
Therefore, assistants and anyone else reading this, walk righteously, in obedience to the Word of God. Turn away from sin, practices and thoughts of this world. And if you are being persecuted for being righteous, rejoice because it is a way the Lord shows us that we are on the right path.
God bless you!
