Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven...

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5.11-12

Imagine two people that were saved.

The first person denied himself, took up his cross, and followed the Lord Jesus, surrendering his life every day. He will be saved and will have his reward.

The second person, besides all of the above things, he was also despised, persecuted, slandered, and defamed. Yet, he remained saved.

When we compare the sacrifice of these two people, the second one was greater.

Therefore, it is only fair that his reward is also bigger.

If when faced with all of these struggles, not yet having this knowledge,

you remained firm, by faith, then imagine now?

Certainly, you will rejoice and be exceedingly glad!

For great is your reward in heaven!
