The Faithful Witness
The offering bares the soul of the offering giver, it reveals his real intentions and acts as his witness before the One Eternal God. During the Last Judgment, this faithful witness will serve to defend or accuse the offering giver before the Eternal Judge. The offerings will testify to the good or the evil done on Earth. It’s like it is written:
By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. Hebrews 11.4
This text shows that Abel’s offering of sacrifice was a witness of his righteousness. His life of sacrifice, shown through his offering, made him deserve the eternal Salvation of his soul. It is no wonder that, even after death, he still speaks (he is still alive).
These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God… Revelation 3.14
The Lord Jesus is the Amen to those who have been the amen to Him (obedience to His Word);
The Lord Jesus is the Faithful Witness (Faithful Offering) to those who sacrifice (offer) their lives for Him;
He is the Faithful and True Witness of God’s effort to save humanity. But only those who believe and, because of this faith, sacrifice themselves as living offerings in this wicked world. They must be faithful witnesses of His resurrection;
The Lord Jesus is the Beginning of God’s creation that begets those who are born of God and multiply.
In the offering, God sees the quality of love, dedication, fear and, above all, the intention of the offering giver.
It’s like a gift that is given to someone. When the person receives it, he assesses, weighs and considers the type of love materialized by the gift. If the gift is vulgar or cheap, he’ll see it right away and get upset with the person that gave him the gift. Even a gift from a poor person can be considered expressive when the person receiving the gift sees the gift giver’s effort. But when the person giving the gift has means, and yet gives something mediocre, it’s obvious that the gift giver will also disregard it.
The offering to God shows what is in the heart of the offering giver. It is no use saying that he loves God when his offering proves otherwise. Each person’s offering is a living witness of what is in his or her heart.
Many draw near to the Most High only out of concern for what He has to offer. They are not interested at all in the commitment of giving or obeying Him. They are only concerned with resolving their problems. Most try to approach Him just to receive answers. They are truly ungrateful people…
