The Kingdom of God
After Creation, God made Adam and Eve to develop His Kingdom on Earth.
They failed and the Kingdom of God on Earth had to wait.
Because of spiritual and moral corruption, the Lord had to destroy humanity and start over with Noah and his family.
But they failed too, and human corruption prevailed.
Once again, the Kingdom of God on Earth could not be established.
Then, the Lord called Abraham to establish a distinct nation.
A kingdom where righteousness would prevail and His people would serve as a reference of God on Earth.
But Abraham’s descendants failed too, and the Kingdom of God on Earth had to wait.
Finally, unable to build His Kingdom through humanity, God sent His Son Jesus to build His Kingdom in the hearts of those who wanted.
And so, the Lord Jesus started building His Kingdom on Earth with the twelve apostles.
Also known as the Church, the citizens of the Kingdom of God on Earth would be led by the Spirit of God.
This is why, guided by the Holy Spirit, Peter addressed his letter to the true disciples of Jesus, saying:
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2.9
Therefore, the members of the true Church of the Lord Jesus Christ do not defend any denominational flag.
Rather, they defend their communion with God the Father, through God the Son, guided by the God the Holy Spirit.
They defend their salvation.
They defend their filial relationship with God.
They defend their character as a priest (or servant) of the Most High.
They defend the righteousness of the Kingdom of God.
They defend the fact that they are exclusive property of God.
In other words, they defend their supernatural faith.
This is what we call ‘to have life and have it more abundantly’.
