The reproved
Why didn’t God keep the bad examples from being recorded in the Bible?
In many cases, those who failed their TEST also embarrassed His name.
The Bible could have registered only the great wonders of God, His promises, the great deeds of the heroes of faith, the greatest miracles or only the good part of the Holy Scriptures.
But, on the contrary, God is transparent and shows the good things and the bad things, so that you know what you should and should not do!
Lets take a look at a list of people that failed their final test.
Adam and Eve (ate the fruit);
Cain (gave an offering without blood);
Esau (sold his primogeniture);
Akan (hid gold and condemned things);
Saul (disobeyed and spared the king and animals);
Jonah (changed the route of his mission);
Samson (broke his vow);
Ananias and Sapphira (kept half of the sacrifice);
Peter (denied);
Judas (betrayed).
And many others who, until this day, turn their backs to the Altar and are reproved.
The list of those who were reproved is longer than the list of those who were approved!
We can also read this verse like this:
For many are called (tested), but few are chosen (approved). Matthew 22.14
If Abraham denied fire in his final test, everything he had done would have been annulled.
We have to go until the end without wavering.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
