Traditions: Synonym of disobedience
For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men… Mark 7.8
…You reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. Mark 7.9
…making the word of God of no effect through your tradition… Mark 7.13
How can a Word that is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, by which the heavens, the earth, and the sea were created, and which represents the Most High Himself be made to have no effect?
Through the traditions that go against it!
When they are practiced, these traditions manifest disobedience to the Word of God.
And just as obedience causes blessings, disobedience, THROUGH traditions, causes curses.
For many people, religious traditions are more valuable than the Word of God.
This is one of the characteristics of emotional faith: to consider religious teachings more than SACRED SCRIPTURES.
For example, the Word mentions the existence of the Lord Jesus’ siblings, but tradition does not.
Many believe in non-biblical teachings, such as purgatory, baptizing children, speaking to the dead… and end up despising actual biblical teachings.
It is necessary to decide who to believe, and who not to believe.
