Until the end…
Our journey to Mount Sinai was a wonderful experience, a great privilege to be there, intervening for the people, for the Church… Among all the things that came to mind, I remembered Moses and the passage that says:
“Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.” Deuteronomy 34.7
From a spiritual point of view, Moses kept his good eyes until the end. He did not let anything make him lose the focus or willingness to serve God.
Always focused on the souls, putting himself in their shoes, interceding without self-interest, feeling their pain, and doing everything to take them to the Promised Land.
Even during difficult times, when his siblings talked about him behind his back, Moses kept his good eyes, a clean heart, prayed for them, and kept the faith.
When I see people leaving the Church, turning away, being contaminated, it becomes clear that they did not follow Moses’ example, because, at one point, they lost focus, looked to the gold, started to “pray for themselves,” took their eyes off the souls, allowed malice in, their spiritual eyes became dim and, without vigor, perished.
