I have a proposal for you. If you accept it, your life will get better. If you don’t think it will work, let it pass. But before you decide, listen. Pay attention to the proposal. There are 3 things you can implement in your life.

1)More attention and less distraction

Why will this improve your life? I don’t think it needs much explanation. When you get distracted, you can’t accomplish much. “Focus” is one of the secrets of success. Successful people are focused people. They are so focused that they can block practically everything and everyone in their lives and seek only what they are working on. I’m not talking about excessive focus, but you will monitor the distractions, which are “time thieves”. Try doing a test: turn off all notifications on your mobile phone. The question is, what needs your attention now? Your marriage, your health, a work project?

2)More action and less stalling

There’s a word I don’t like to use: “Wait”. The only thing you can do is wait. Even when you have to wait, something can be done. The ancients said: “I have many irons on the fire”. That means there’s no reason for you to stand still. Don’t say: “I’m waiting for so-and-so to answer me”, or “I’m waiting for the end of the war in the Middle East”. Stop waiting. You’re stalling. “I know I need to go back to God, but first, I have to do something else.” Stop delaying.

Pay attention: you don’t have unlimited time in your life. You’re getting older. What do you need to do? Stop procrastinating. With all these excuses, you’re hindering yourself.

3)More prayer and less talk

Less gossip, less small talk, less useless talk. Talk more to God. Don’t throw words away. When I talk about “prayer”, I’m talking about changing the focus of words by directing them to God. If you get a mobile phone that doesn’t have an internet connection, what’s its use? It’s not very useful. Thus, a human being without a connection with God becomes useless. Because if you’re not connected with God, you’re connected with inferior things. It’s the difference between having a small battery for the television remote control and walking with a generator. If you hear God’s voice, He directs you. You put your anxieties on Him, and He gives you peace, direction, security, comfort and strength.
