3 WAYS WHICH GOD TALKS TO YOU
Do you want to hear God's voice? There are several ways, but I will mention three that God uses to communicate with you. Listen and understand!
How does God speak to us? Pay attention to you who say this: “I would like to know how to hear God’s voice and understand what He wants to say to me”. I’ll give you 3 ways. (God speaking is one thing; listening is another.) It’s not that there are only 3. There are many ways. He can talk through whatever He wants. But I’m going to leave these 3.
1) God speaks through the animals: “But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; And the birds of the air, and they will tell you; Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; And the fish of the sea will explain to you” (Job 12:7-8).
Jesus said this differently when He spoke about anxious people (Matthew 6:26-30). He gave the cure for anxiety and guided people to look at the birds of the air. You don’t see any birds worried about what they will eat. God gives them, in one way or another, their food.
Solomon also said: “Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest” (Proverbs 6:6-8).
2) God left lessons throughout His creation. He also speaks through nature: “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork” (Psalm 19:1).
You know that the human being, when they seek courage, they look at the sky. Isn’t that curious? Why is it? In any culture, in any nationality. It’s because it’s written. So, God is talking.
Did you know that some scholars propose that the world is the work of an explosion? But did you know that if you changed a fraction of the laws of physics, the laws of nature, there would be none of this that exists? Did you know that everything works precisely? In other words, the chances of this being an accident are nonexistent. It’s as they say: it takes much more faith to believe in this than in a creative mind behind it. So, the sea, the mountains, and the human body talk about God.
3) The most direct way God speaks to you: the Word. This is the main way God talks to someone. In the past, a love letter was written when a boy liked a girl, or a girl liked a boy. And the Bible is this love letter for us. He declares His words, His love, Who He is, What He thinks of us, who we are, what He intends to do, how He wants to live with us and take us to live with Him.
Most people have access to the Bible. I’ve never received a letter that I haven’t opened. But the human being, unfortunately, does not open the Bible to read it.
So, you ask yourself: “Why doesn’t God talk to me?”
