CHILDREN OF GOD vs CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL
That's a strong sentence… but you need to find out which you've been
When we observe the story of the people of Israel, when God descended on Sinai, He called Moses and said: ‘You go there to Egypt to deliver My people from slavery, because I have seen their suffering, I have heard their cry and I’ve remembered the covenant I made with them (the people).’
So Moses went and brought the people out of Egypt with a mighty hand. God used His mighty hand to take the people out of Pharaoh’s power, led those people through the desert, crossed the Red Sea and arrived at Mount Sinai; there they renewed their covenant with Him, that is, he married the people, and made a covenant with the people. He also gave Moses the tablets of the commandments, that is, the terms of this covenant, and commanded Moses to build a tabernacle.
And where was the tabernacle?
In the centre of the camp of the people of Israel, of the 12 tribes of Israel, so that God would be together, in the midst of His people. God never wanted to stay away, He never wanted to be separated from His people.
Then, through the tabernacle – and later through the Temple which was in Jerusalem, in the midst of Israel – to say to the people: ‘I want to be among you, I want to be with you’.
God never wanted to be separated from us nor far from us!
So, you see that on God’s part there was never any desire, no intention of being far from human beings, on the contrary, when a person says: ‘God has forgotten me’ when the person says that ‘it seems that God is away’, this is the highest expression of ignorance of who God is and what He does, because the one who is far from God are they; He doesn’t impose Himself on people, but if they choose to live their lives in their way, they create the separation between themselves and God.
We can summarise the history of humanity as follows: God created man to live with Him, men ran away and turned their back, and God has been – ever since – running after men to try to rescue them.
Some people turn to God, they know Him, but most continue like a prodigal son and keeps wasting the opportunity that the Father has given.
Who is a child of God and who is a child of the devil?
The child of God does not live in sin, because they are born of God and the seed of his Father is in them, therefore, in the heart of the child there is no desire to live in sin, they are human and have inclinations, but their greatest desire is to please their Father.
Contrary to the child of the devil: they sin and still justify the sin by saying that they did it and would do it again; they go on justifying their sins and do not repent.
The child of God is born of God and therefore has the character of God, the nature of God. God does not dwell where there is sin, because He is holy. If the Holy Spirit is going to dwell in you, you have to be holy, you have to be separate from sin.
