HOW TO DEAL WITH THE BAD ONES AND WIN (Psalm 91)

Do not lose sleep for what they do to you, nor wish evil for the wicked, but trust in God and feel at home with Him in the shelter of the Most High.

“Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked” (Psalms 91:8).

What does “wicked” mean? It comes from “wickedness”, that is, “one who does not care about God”. Suppose you don’t respect God, nor your neighbour. They are the ones who think they are the master of themselves and live by their own rules. They are the ones who, by not respecting God, are rejecting Salvation, which is God’s gift. Imagine you spending money on an expensive gift and the person says: “I don’t want that. Take it away.” How would you feel?

The first thing we understand in this verse is that the law of return exists. The evil you wish against others turns around and comes back to you. Don’t mock God. Whatever man sows, he will reap. This will not always happen on the spot, but it will happen because that’s what the Word of God says.

One day, everyone will be accountable (the wicked and the righteous). The difference is that the righteous already have their debts paid (because of the Lord Jesus). No one escapes the eyes of the Righteous Judge. He says: “Vengeance is mine.” This means that our justice is not perfect; He is the one who will take revenge. Human justice is flawed, biased and short-sighted (because it sees only some things). Only God sees everything and knows how to judge with perfect righteousness.

Another teaching about this Word is that no one takes God’s revenge. He’s going to settle the accounts. He will not let the unjust and injustice go unpunished.

It takes work to control our desire to do justice with our own hands. Even more so when the person suffers a setback, suffers damage, is robbed, or betrayed, among other situations that should not be done even with an enemy. It’s hard to look at all this and endure. That requires faith.

Abraham didn’t have to worry about those who cursed him. He just had to worry about being the blessing itself and walking with God, which is being in the Shelter of the Most High. Don’t worry. Your job is to walk in the presence of God; it is to feel at home with Him. Don’t keep wishing evil for the wicked.
