PROPOSAL FOR PEACE AND TRANQUILITY
Everyone longs for peace and tranquillity in life, but for many, this seems impossible, given their life’s course. However, I tell you that there is a solution; just start doing the right thing!
I propose a way of living that will bring you a lot of peace and security. It’s not always simple (sometimes you’ll have difficulties). I’m talking about you living a life where you don’t have to hide anything from anyone.
What is it like to live like this? Everyone has the right to a level of privacy. But I’m talking about you living without having to erase your tracks, hide what you did, and look over your shoulders to see if someone is watching you (because they may catch you doing something you shouldn’t). Transparently live your life.
Whether you believe in God or not, everything you are and do is transparent (for you, God and the devil). You can hide something from someone; no one may know, but you will have to live with it. Let’s say you committed the “perfect crime”. Nobody knows, but you do. And you can’t erase that. You know, God knows, and the devil knows. Therefore, the most peaceful way to live is to lead your life in such a way that you won’t have any reason to be embarrassed.
Psalm 139 says: “LORD, You have searched me, and known me” (Psalm 139:1). In other words, God is looking within us. He knows everything about us. Imagine: from afar; He knows our thinking. We didn’t discuss it; He already knows what we’re thinking. So, God knows everything. Why would you live your life trying to erase your footsteps from people who can discover what you did? Because God has seen everything. How can you combine your belief in God (who sees everything, your intentions, what you do) and what He condemns? Your faith will always be divided with a layer of hypocrisy. You say something, but before God, it’s something else.
You can’t keep deleting the history from your mobile phone or conversations, so your wife doesn’t see it. If you must keep deleting it, you know you’re having a conversation you shouldn’t have. And if you have a friend who sends you something and then says, “Erase what I sent you”, then be careful who you associate with. Because when you do the right thing, you don’t have to delete it. God knows what you’re doing. So why do you live in a way that condemns you?
You may want to get out of this situation. You can say: “I don’t want to live in this situation anymore”. But are you getting deeper in the mud, or do you want to clean yourself? You need to move in the direction of a clean, transparent life. No one is perfect, but you must look for the right path. The lie will always catch up with you. What do you prefer? You are the one who chooses your way of living.
