God has given humans intelligence to know that if something is true, then it must work as expected. In other words, if the water is wet, it has to make me wet; if the sun is hot, it has to warm me up, and so on.

No other animal in this world has the intelligence that God has given to human beings, and this logic leads us to prove what we hear and see if it is true.

The Sacred Text says that the Word of God can transform our lives. We read several passages of the Scriptures about the power of the Word.

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.” James 1:22-24

Today, especially with the internet, countless Christians like to listen to preachings and prayers. They don’t pray themselves or read the Bible, but they want to hear someone preach to them.

Many keep listening to the Word, wanting to feel good, so people like those verses stamped on T-shirts and stickers. They like these Bible passages that make them feel good. But they forget that the Bible verses are not isolated from each other. If you don’t embrace the whole Word of God for yourself, it’s no use choosing It as you choose grapes or any other fruit—”this one I’ll get, but not this one.”

“But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” James 1:25

Then, take a test with the Word. Maybe you have already chosen several lifestyles throughout your life, but then they passed because they didn’t work for you.

Well, if you have already done this with other teachings, why not take the Word of God and put it to the test?

How? Being a hearer and doer of the Word, as the apostle James teaches. This is not religion; it is intelligence.

Let’s see if It returns to you empty or with peace, wisdom, health, better relationships, prosperity, and, above all, the Salvation of your soul.
