THE BEST EXPLANATION OF BODY, SOUL and SPIRIT you have ever heard
Have you ever stopped to think about what you're really made of? We are 3 in 1: body, soul and spirit! To understand this in a simple way, let's use an analogy that everyone knows: a mobile phone! Watch now and discover this transformative revelation!
If you want to succeed in life, you must take care of your body, soul and spirit. Let’s understand this through a very simple explanation.
The mobile phone is an excellent representation of body, soul and spirit. The body of the phone is the device itself; the soul of the phone is the data stored in it – its information, downloaded music, added contacts, photos, applications, and, in short, everything that makes it unique. Even if two mobile phones are of the same model, the data differentiates them. In the same way, the soul is what differentiates each person. Even identical twins have distinct souls and different personalities, making each human being unique, as well as mobile phone data.
The phone battery, which gives it life, represents the spirit. Without a battery, the device loses its functionality, just as the spirit is the breath of life God gave us. It is what unites body and soul, the energy that keeps us alive. The Bible says that, at the time of death, the spirit, which is this energy, returns to God:
“Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.” (Ecclesiastes 12:7)
Just as a mobile phone only has value when these three elements are together – the device, the battery and the data – the human being is also an inseparable set of body, soul and spirit. One complements the other, giving meaning to existence, just as God is also a trinity. God made us in His image and likeness and replicated this trinity in us. He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit; we are body, soul and spirit.
What should you do with this information?
Following this analogy, if you want to preserve your mobile phone, you can’t let it drop; you probably bought a cover to protect it, avoid exposing it to risks and take care of the screen. In the same way, we must take care of our bodies. This is the easiest part because everyone understands the importance of good nutrition, rest, exercise and health care since the body quickly manifests signs when something is wrong.
However, besides the body, taking care of the soul is essential. How do you protect the “soul” of your mobile phone? Avoid downloading suspicious files, protect it against viruses, and do not click on dubious links. So we must also take care of our soul, selecting well what we consume: movies, music, content and trends. Not everything is good for the soul. Some contents can sadden, discourage and even contaminate our thoughts. Music, for example, directly influences emotions and mood. Movies and series carry ideologies that can impact how we see the world. Therefore, it is important to have discernment and protect our soul because it is the most precious thing we have.
Therefore, you must recognise yourself as a trinity – body, soul and spirit – and value, especially, the soul. The body will perish one day, but the soul is eternal. What have you done for your soul? Just as a mobile phone can be discarded, but data can be stored and preserved, the body dies, but the soul remains. We need to take care of it with zeal.
And the spirit?
Just as the mobile phone battery needs to be constantly recharged, we must also recharge our spirit. How? Through the Word of God. Every time we meditate on the Word, we connect with God and renew our strength and faith. The spirit is our direct connection with God.
Finally, even if a cell phone has all these elements, its functionality is limited without an internet connection. The internet enhances the use of mobile phones, just as the connection with God enhances our lives. If a human being—body, soul, and spirit—is not connected to the Spirit of God, they will be empty, with little purpose and potential. But those who have this direct connection with God discover that heaven, literally, is the limit.
