The pair of eyes you (probably) don’t use
One of the most important and basic lessons I learned about faith is that faith has eyes. Faith doesn’t depend on the eyes on your face; it has its own eyes which are undeniably better.
If your faith has not been working, it’s probably because you have been trying to use your faith with your natural eyes, the ones on your face.
One of the secrets of faith is to let it use its own eyes. Faith doesn’t see things as they are, but how they could be. And there’s more: faith sees things as if it’s reality. Once seeing this reality, it fixes the image in your mind in such a way that your very behavior acts accordingly.
Perhaps you have prayed, believed in God, read the Bible and so on – but you are still unhappy, weak, without perspective… It’s probably because of the pair of eyes you’ve been using – the ones on your face and not the ones of your faith.
Stop looking at your life like as it is. Simply looking at what’s around you is not going to change a thing. Let your faith use its own eyes. Let it focus on what God said and take possession of it. Subject everything you do to this vision.
One day this vision will become a reality.
P.S. I want to invite you to strengthen your faith participating in the John Purpose with me. Learn more here.
