THE PATH TO SUCCESS THAT NO ONE WANTS TO WALK

Before you go up and succeed, you need to go down. Follow the example of the Lord Jesus, and you will understand!

Lets look at an interesting verse that talks about the Lord Jesus. You hardly hear about this passage from the Bible concerning the Lord Jesus: “(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)” (Ephesians 4:9-10).

The Lord Jesus has the Name above all names. Maybe you have been diagnosed with a rare disease, and they say to you: “Just accept it”. It has a name, whether it is something typical or a rare disease, but the Name of the Lord Jesus is above this disease. Perhaps you were labelled as “adulterer”, “betrayer”, or “mistress”; they gave you names. But the Name of the Lord Jesus is above all that.

He is above the Heavens; there is nothing above His Name. He won a unique place and the highest place. However, the Text says that for Him to reach this point, He also had to descend to the lower parts of the earth. I mean, He suffered, moaned, was persecuted, was humiliated, was the target of lies, He was beaten, He suffered all kinds of injustices. And, in the end, he was still killed and crucified. But that was necessary for Him to overcome it, too. How would He be the greatest if He had not overcome the greatest battles?

People often do not realise that when they want to be winners, they are actually wishing for greater fights. Can you show me someone who went up to the podium without first going down to the trenches of preparation, discipline, misconception, and training in solitude? It doesn’t exist. So it was with the Lord Jesus.

What does that mean? Before you go up, you have to go down. Do you want to win? Overcome? First, you have to lose to win. Sometimes people say: “How lucky”. But you don’t look at the fights that that person fought, how far they had to go down to get there.

The human being wants success, wants to be at the top, wants the rise, but does not want to go down. This is the reality. Nobody wants to lower their head; no one wants to submit; no one wants to obey. Everyone wants to be at the top. And how will you be at the top if you don’t know how to obey? How will you lead if you don’t know how to respect leadership?

So, if you want to win, follow the example of the Lord Jesus. One of the best examples He gave about this was when the disciples were at the Lord’s Supper and were arguing about who would be the greatest. The Lord Jesus got up, took a basin with water and began to wash their feet. And he told them to “wash” each other’s feet (John 13).

If the person goes up without going down, they will explode there because the atmospheric pressure at the top of the mountain is not for everyone.
