Some people simply don’t react to an intelligent argument. It’s as if, for some reason, their brain mass becomes gelatin. It simply stops working. This is the case of those who are prejudiced, for example.

If you define the word prejudice, you will see that it does not result from intelligence. Someone who considers a person inferior to them because of skin color, nationality, religion or any other characteristic, is not using their intelligence. And if they became biased for unintelligent reasons, they won’t stop being biased for intelligent reasons either.

Yet being prejudiced is only one example of a lack of intelligence. In many places and situation, fools and foolishness abounds, even at home. Have you ever felt like you were talking to the wall when you tried to reason with a family member?

Sometimes you simply have to let the foolishness of fools teach them a lesson. Even if it’s the same lesson you were trying so hard to teach them.

Meanwhile, speak to someone who wants to listen. Teach those who wants to learn. And don’t waste your time on fools.
