WHAT SHE DID TO HER FIANCÉ AT THE ALTAR IS UNBELIEVABLE
It is the story of a woman who was torn between her ex and her fiancé who loved her. Hold on with your judgement, because you might have acted in the same way.
I want to present this man’s situation to you and ask what you think he should do in his situation. Pay close attention to the story…
He met a woman and fell in love with her. But this woman already had a boyfriend. And this boyfriend mistreated her a lot. She suffered a lot. It was an abusive relationship. This man, then, talking to this woman, said to her: “Look, you don’t need this. I can take very good care of you.”
So, she got out of the relationship and started dating this man, who treated her very well, the opposite of what her ex-boyfriend did. She left her ex, and after a while, they booked the wedding. And this happy man prepared everything (the day, the church, the guests). The big day came, and he was waiting for her in the church at the Altar.
What happens when she enters the church dressed as a bride with all the guests? He receives her at the Altar but says to her: “Look, I left the rings at home”. He apologised to everyone and said: “Stay here and I will quickly get the rings to conclude our wedding”.
And it took a little longer than he expected (traffic and everything). When he returned to church with the rings in his pocket, arriving near the church, there was already a noise of party and joy. He thinks it’s all very strange. When he entered the church, what had happened? His fiancée had invited her ex-boyfriend to the wedding and, in the absence of the groom, she decided to get back with her ex. And when he entered the church, she was kissing her ex-boyfriend at the Altar.
Then, I ask you: what do you think this man should do with his fiancée?
- a) Leave her right there, turn around and leave.
- b) Make a scene and kill them both.
- c) Forgive her and say: “Look, if you want to come back to me, I’ll take you back”.
I presented this story to the people in the Temple of Solomon. And most people said the following: “No! Don’t go back to her. She’s going to cheat again. She’s no good.”
So I revealed: “This bride is us, and the groom is God. This is the story of God at Sinai when He had taken His people out of Egypt from that 400-year slavery abuse. He led the people to the natural Altar, which was Mount Sinai. While Moses was up there to receive the covenant (the Tablets of the Law, the terms of this marriage, this covenant that God would make with the people), the people said, “Look, we do not know what happened to this Moses. Let’s do the following: make a golden calf here, and this will be our god, who will guide us.”
Psalm 106 says this in a very dramatic way: “They made a calf in Horeb, And worshiped the molded image. Thus they changed their glory Into the image of an ox that eats grass” (Psalms 106:19-20);
In other words, the people changed the glory of God for an image of an ox that eats grass. Think with me: the very definition of God is “Someone superior to you”. If you are going to worship a god, that god has to be greater than you…
When the people made the golden calf and began to worship it there, to dance, took off their clothes and made a carnival in front of the golden calf, the people said: “The ox that eats grass is above us”.
They made themselves below an ox that eats grass; such is the ignorance and ingratitude.
The human being treats God as that bride at the Altar treated her fiancé.
Then, people ask themselves later: “Why does everything go wrong?” After they suffer, they moan, and they ask themselves: “Why didn’t God help me? Why did God allow it?” Then, it’s God’s fault. They make their nonsense, their bad choices, turn their backs on God, and betray God.
And so, people put their projects above God, the money, the boyfriend, the wife, the son, the dream of being a mother, the career, a political ideology or a politician (goes to jail for that politician or kills for that politician).
